What is Daredevil: Born Again season 2 about?
Following on from the events of Daredevil: Born Again season 1 (and the Netflix Daredevil series), New York City is now under martial law thanks to the Machiavellian Kingpin being elected Mayor. With vigilantes now banned and the cops cheerfully forming death squads to hunt down any errant superheroes, Daredevil must foment a resistance by uniting New York’s disparate masked vigilante community.

Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil: blind lawyer by day, two-fisted vigilante by night; Vincent D’Onofrio is Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin: erudite crime lord now mayor of New York City; Margarita Levieva is Heather Glenn, a therapist and Murdock’s new love interest; Deborah Ann Woll is Karen Page: former reporter, now Murdock’s friend and partner at the Nelson, Murdock & Page law firm; and Elden Henson is Franklin “Foggy” Nelson: Murdock’s best friend and law partner, now deceased.

The leading light of Marvel’s street-level heroes, Daredevil blew us away when he hit the small screen lo, these many years ago, and not much has changed since then. Charlie Cox’s blind vigilante remains one of the MCU’s most compelling characters, the action is top notch, and the political allegory remains as sharp as ever.
