Disclosure Day: Australian trailer and release date
Steven Spielberg brings us a different kind of close encounter in this new sci-fi thriller.

Steven Spielberg returns to the subject of aliens for the fourth time in his directing career with this rather enigmatic drama about a different kind of close encounter.
How to watch Disclosure Day in Australia
Disclosure Day is screening exclusively in Australian cinemas from June 11, 2026.
What is Disclosure Day about?
Well, that is a very good question, and hard data has been pretty thin on the ground. All we know is that on the titular Disclosure Day, some kind of revelation will be made that affects every single person on the face of the Earth. Could it have something to do with Emily Blunt’s TV weather presenter suddenly starting to speak in a seemingly non-human language? Probably? Is it aliens? Maybe. Could they already be…living among us?
That seems to be the gist, in which case it sounds like a self-serious take on John Carpenter’s They Live, which isn’t as revelatory as we might have hoped. But we’ve learned not to bet against the ‘Berg when it comes to quality cinema.
The cast of Disclosure Day
Details on characters are pretty light – most of them don’t even have names yet! – but get ready to see Emily Blunt is a Kansas City TV meteorologist, plus Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, Mckenna Bridger, Elizabeth Marvel, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Michael Gaston, Elliot Villar, Tommy Martinez, Patricia Conolly, Noah Robbins, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Lance Archer, Brian Cage, and Gabby Beans.

Why we’re excited about Disclosure Day
Look, it’s Steven Spielberg doing serious science fiction again, which is cause enough for celebration. We do wonder if the build up to the big reveal is a little too much – unless it turns out to be genuinely mind-blowing, of course – but if anyone’s earned a little blind faith from audiences, it’s the ‘Berg.
